If you take the letter's designation as an answer meant to provoke thought, it can be sweet.

If their god would literally send her to hell if she died right then for the crime of being miserable, on the other hand... what a piece of crap he is.

Real churches seem to be split about 50/50 on this sort of thing (see, religious attitudes towards suicide attempts) so I can't even tell which way was supposed to be meant.
