It is better to accept it than to fight but power is everything in this world if you don't want to know anything...
"Fighting" it before, was his sadness and stubbornness speaking out, what he wants isn't there any more.
There's nothing to fight for there...
He's just grown strong enough to accept his circumstances and live on proudly, there's nothing shameful about accepting himself,
and accepting his hard-to-swallow monstrous self is his own way of fighting against the world, by living happily as his own self, in his own way, regardless of how people see him.
He's become a strong person now. And someone even cared enough to find him.
