Our MC is at least somewhat clever enough to understand the dangers. Other protagonists are always idiots and become manipulated or utilized. With an ability like MC, he can literally create his own empire purely off of marketing what he gets from the online store. Once he amasses enough money, he can even rival other kingdoms (well he already has the fenrir, he probably doesn't even need an army). Even if the heroes were thought to have more unfair advantage, turns out our MC has an even better skill than they ever will have.

Using Garlic Soy Sauce on a dish, from my experience, is really delicious, specially with meat dishes.
Garlic and Honey too would go well for Fried Chicken.

If you think about it, 17 gold is probably actually a fairly low price, as the guild master needs to make a profit.

It all depends on perspective @Hashire-Sori-Yo .

Assuming 1 gold is worth 10 silver (I don't know if it was mentioned already). Also, rounding up the mc's cost (pg 27 "didn't even cost me 1 silver").
The MC selling 1 silver worth of stuff for 17 gold he just made got a 17000% profit. More if 1 gold is worth more than 10 silver.
Compared to the guild master who maybe will sell it for double will make about 17 gold (but probably less).

Basically, the guild master might turn 17 gold into 34 gold but the mc turned (less than) 1 silver into 17 gold.
