@JayBae ; @newnew145 The firebombing of Japan in WW2 is more likely as the Great Earthquake was much earlier and she would be over 90 by now, which she does not appear to be. "Everything burned away..." is a pretty clear indication for that also, "the bomb" and an earthquake would evoke different words and the use of different metaphors.

the theories so far

- tsukasa the child age slowly, the maiden is the old lady (the fire in mid 90's)
- tsukasa the teen? and doesn't age, the child is the old lady (the fire in early 90's)
- the old lady is the child, and the maiden is tsukasa's previous reincarnation/or generation(mom, etc)
- other hata shenanigans......

@Dagger The Great Kanto Earthquake also burned Tokyo down, but like you said, assuming this manga is set in the present Oba-san would be over 100 years old assuming she was te kid (which seems likely,) setting the same scenario to WW2 leaves her at around 70 which is much more likely.
