It doesn't really look like the parents are behaving all that annoyingly. I'd say the annoying, while still realistic, behavior would be bombarding Goro and Kogane with endless questions, many of which they would rather not answer. Photo albums is pretty harmless.

Goro's dad really brings some "normal ossan" energy that really does change the atmosphere of the story. Really expecting him to either have figured out Kogane is a kitsune or just accept it without any fuss. Hopefully we get to see the two dads meet in the near future. "As you can see, this parent will do every single thing she's been asked not to do" really resonated with me . Thanks as always to sarusa and Thumper.

Yeah, they're not that bad, I have seen some really annoying parents. But Goro is (it seems) hypersensitive.

I like how part of Kogane's 'calm down' process is to bring her ears out - nice touch.

Also a good illustration of how it's the quiet, normal ones you need to watch out for....

I'm betting one oxygen molecule he would be a little surprised, giggle a bit, then make some remark about Goro.
