I like the emphasis on battle pragmatism as a reminder that the kitsune of Kongo village do not adhere to human norms. There is no honor or scorekeeping in a fight, it is to the death. I also like the idea that Kogane is going for an all-rounder approach to fighting. It suits her jack of all trades skill set. Kogane's surprise that Gen-san didn't hold back but wasn't fighting all out got a chuckle from me. Thanks as always to sarusa and Thumper.

Yeah, try to hide anything in a town that small. It seems everyone knows how kinky the Kinkas are (not that they do a good job of hiding it. However, Zanma-sensei has done a good job establishing that Akane and Kogane have been close with Doji since childhood. Doji being the pon that he is, he probably mentioned Gen-san's magazines completely unintentionally. However, Akane will remember that.
