This is just terrible writing if she becomes a love interest...

They were scared he would survive and report them to the academy...

If they only intended to beat him up, he would still be alive to report them to the academy and expel them. So the only logical conclusion is that they intended to kill him so he would not be able to report what they just did.

It will be very frustrating if they escape this attempted murder without punishment. The MC is a beta cuck so I expect he will forgive their attempted murder like an idiot.

deep down inside she is a good girl, except it's pretty deep.
now she has become waifu candidate officially.
You’ve fallen into the mangaka’s trap. This is the most cliche of cliches, trying to twist a total bitch into a pitiable character. She’s not a good girl, she’s a cunt, which is evident given all her previous actions. If she’s a good person, you can argue anyone is, even Hitler, don’t be fooled by such a basic cliche please.

Aw HELL no.

Yeah I refuse to feel sympathy for someone who attempted murder not even a chapter ago. Especially not when said person is only doing it because the guy they've always bullied beat them fair and square in an official match and even then that guy bought a gift and apologized. Super Especially not when the only justification they even had was losing their reputation... which will totally get repaired when news spread about how they murdered the guy using a gang of followers after jumping them in the woods with no bystanders around.

I get the feeling that I'm going to be so insanely pissed after the next 1 or 2 chapters when the MC saves her, they reconcile, and its revealed she gets a crush on him. I don't know how else to say this but attempted murder is NOT okay. The only acceptable outcome would be her and her groupies going to prison.
prison ?
u mean, guillotine?

i won't feel sorry even if giselle died. go die in a ditch somewhere and dissapear. I don't understand why this kind of thing is so common in mangas, like are you ok author? have you even have any kind of relationship be it romantic or friendship with anyone? have you even talk to another human being author? That kind of characters isn't even interesting, they are just piece of crap that would end up in jail somewhere if it was a real human with that kind of personality. Piece of crap character that always being an asshole and then revealed to have a romantic feeling toward the mc. Like seriously? are those author ok? or are they just trying too hard to create a conflict in a story?

You were trying to murder him. Giant lizards aside expulsion should not have been the worst case scenario for you here.
if anything happened to him they would be erased from existence

Many people will hate the mc for this even i might not like it too much but he is a HERO to the core he will not ignore someone in danger regardless of what they did to him, well if she apologizes later then all is good in my book (i prefer to answer equally to what people wanted to do to me because they thought they were stronger still)

Ah Japanese author... Must you be this way?

You want to save her? Fine. That's what a good human being would do. I'm fine with that. BUT let her get what's coming to her. Report her to the academy. Attempted murder is not something your power of friendship should cover for.

Yeah I don't mind saving her; the MC being the better person is all fine and good, and totally believable for someone who wanted to be a hero so sadly they charged what was basically a natural disaster.

It's the "let's make up and be friends" bit that inevitably follows that's the problem.

Saving her is in character sure, but her premeditated attempt at murdering him goes a bit past the "apology" stage. She needs to suffer some actual consequences and show some actual contrition before things are even close to good.

But sadly most of these authors don't bother giving these situations the gravity deserve; I will be highly surprised if this author is any better.

indeed apologizing isn't enough she must understand how badly she acted and report herself for what she did if the author handle it this way then it is fine in my books

If there is any sort of consolation prize, she's the biggest loser in the love race. Unfortunately the 3 groomers teachers are also losers because MC wants the Hero girl.
Also a quick rude awakening to everyone angry at the bitch:

She got away scot-free

You can drop this manga now.

If the author didn't want the girl to die then they could've made it so a high ranking adventurer or something appeared to save her, which also reveals they were watching to see if she did intend to kill the MC. Thus upon saving and treating the girl's wounds the adventurer would turn her in to the guards/prison with his testimony as evidence.

It could've furthermore been a good lesson for the readers on being too kind by having the MC try vouching for her to be freed, only for the three monsters masters to talk him out of helping her because it'd only cause him trouble and tell the girl she can do whatever she wants without consequence.

The nemesis-to-lover trope is so overused already it's mind numbing.

Wow, the usual trope of damsel in distress, clearly not like any other manga!!! Very unique author, clever writing!!! Especially that brief flashback, clearly shows that it justifies her bullying!!!!!!!!!

Okay. The MC saves the Hero. Then the Hero will regret her actions. And the MC will forgive her. And then the authorities (teachers etc) will also forgive her crimes. Happily ever after.
