After Director Mitsuba praises Miyamori's ad for becoming viral, Ichika proudly expresses her joy of the ad, as their colleagues later join.
Afterwards, Ichika then goes in search for the director.
When she finds him in the smoking lounge, she apologizes for sleeping in his car yesterday.
As he's about to put out his cigarette, she stops him by grabbing his hand, and expresses how she doesn't mind and that his smell of cigarettes made her think how manly he is. "My heart skipped a beat. Thinking "Oh, he's a grown man".
Yet, after letting go when he asks, she instantly grabs it back when she notices his scar on his palm, thinking he recently got injured.

Genuinely concerned, she instantly asks how he got it which surprises him, causing Director Mitsuba to laugh from being asked so directly for the first time, which all charms her when he's grinning from her straightforwardness.
He claims it doesn't bother him from not hiding it since it's obvious, and that it was caused from a chisel, a long time ago.

Being embarassed of having her heart flutter, she nervously excuses herself quickly as she leaves.
After coming back, Haruta notices Ichika's face is red, which Ichika replies "It's nothing, okay?".
At the moment, both Haruta and Izumi now regret not following her out of curiosity, wondering what must have happened.
While Haruta wonders if they had that kind of relationship, Izumi wonders how Ichika's relationship is with Director Mitsuba compared to Haruta.

... Fairly interesting chapter.
She showed signs of potential interest in her boss before, but I didn't exactly expect a romantic plot to occur with him, let alone so early.
It makes sense though considering how handsome he is himself, and how inexperienced she is, but I'm more surprised at how unconsciously handsy she is.

It this goes far, seriously... I think this sub plot of an inexperienced restricted in life adult female falling in love with her boss who's involved in her project as a subject is a bit odd based on these awkward circumstances, along with her protective male friends, but it's somewhat interesting... even if it's a little weird from her probably being an incel virgin, but the conflict from Mitsuba's side could be a little interesting...

I also don't believe his palm scar was from a chisel.
Based on how he looked at it with pain after touching Ichika, I feel like it's related to a past patient that he was deeply involved with, maybe a lover or family member, who knows, or rather he himself being a potential past subject himself as well.
