Walgreens and cvs here also has snacks/makeup and even some like stationery/office supplies for the former but maybe it depends on where you live, doesn’t surprise me with capitalism if there are more pharmacies that set up stuff near the front for impulse buys, one near me even had a mini clinic next to the entrance unless it’s more of a consultation or something simpler like flu shots versus a proper dr visit

Over here there's a neat distinction between food supply and anything related to medical sectors. However, after 2020 we started to see plasters and masks in depato, too. Mostly because it's good for business, we have pharmacies and para-pharmacies where you can find only supplements. You can find makeup and skincare products in those places, too, even perfumes, or special shoes, "fake jewelry", and particular food for certain dietary needs, but they'll cost you an eye because they'll be part of certain specialized medical-related brands. Unless they're holding a gathering or a ceremony related to special occasions, you'll never see cooked food or anything of the sort, over here.

Well makes sense that he's in a hospital b/c of the mom situation, japan is probably easy to get around everywhere even if you're a bit broke with the train system but i imagine he'd be in the same city as the housewife or so versus traveling too far just to be a delihealth worker , but yeah hopefully he doesn't think of it as "She purposefully tracked him down" tho idk if he rly shared too many personal details or a last name or so
