Also izumo is lowkey onto something like we have a limited amount of living bodies for souls to reside in, and we have many regretful souls with a strong will to live without a body, and we have souls who do not have a will to live with a body, so why not just swap them

its like transfering afk players out of the server to make new room for active players

Imma be 100% if i got reincarnated and I had like a wife and kids to come back to, even if it meant taking over the soul of an innocent child id do it 100% that shits a no brainer I value the life of me and my family over the life of other people and I don't think thats an unpopular opinion
There is a difference from reincarnation, and "reincarnating", particularly if you actually determine that the original person still exists and you are suppressing them.

And even among the situation where you are suppressing them, there is a difference between doing so willfully, and doing so while also trying to escalate it to a societal level to be done to others. The former is a understandably selfish choice of self preservation. The latter is maniacal and evil.

Personally if something happened to me like this, I would do the best I could with what I could, live on the best I could for them. However if there were any sign of the original person left(ie I didn't actually reincarnate), then it would only be right to return what is rightfully theirs if it could be done. Perhaps there is a path to share where we both could exist collaboratively.

I don't disagree that if most people found themselves in this situation they would likely choose themselves first.

100% I agree with the societal escalation part, where its basically just something that aint necessary, but like even if I knew there was some part of the other person in there I am 100% suppressing them as hard as I can. I'm not tryna co-exist in the same body imo that just opens up another whole ass can of worms and my selfish ass aint risking anything for my second chance at life.

Anyways for me it boils down to me vs whoever im possesing and it will always be me who is most valuable to myself.
