Written and presented how? I see a story about a sociopath girl who, as of chapter 8, extrajudically executed at least three people. I don't see the story being concerned with presenting a mystery for the readers to solve, it was like 5 20-pages chapters, the first one of which set the stage, and by the last chapter, the mystery was already solved; the remaining three chapters were mostly focusing on the detective, and not on presenting more clues. Whatever this story tries to be, a mystery it is not.
The identity of the culprit is the focus of the entire fucking arc. We get all the information about the case (even a fucking chart with the details), we are shown potential culprits and then some of them are removed from the list.

If the focus was on Spica extrejudically executing people then we would be told who the culprit is from the get-go and the story would be about her trying to deal with them. Instead it was 4 20-pages chapters of identifying the culprit and one chapter actually focused on murdering her (most of which was devoted to explaining her motive, the murder itself was easy as fuck).

I mean could’ve been worse. While the killer being the idol was an asspull, I feel like because of the concept of the manga it is justified + it did lead back to the noise complaint thing from the previous chapter and was still entertaining. I still hope the next cases have a bit more things we can go off of to actually figure out who the killer is.

I don't like how this story resolves the mysteries.

Part of the fun of a whodunnit is that the audience gets to participate and try to guess the culprit before the author reveals it. One of the most entertaining things about detective/mystery stories is when you get to figure it out beforehand because the author did a good job at presenting the information.

This is a bad example of that kind of story. The culprit's identity was pretty much an asspull, there was no way for the reader to know all the stuff mentioned in this chapter before the MC revealed it.

And yeah, you could tell me "this isn't that kind of story, it's about a physic MC solving impossible cases so you won't be able to figure it out" but it's certainly written and presented like one. What's even the point of trying to give us hints if the answer is going to be "this rando did it"?
Look back at the chapters there may be hints I haven't yet but I believe there are.

people complain about this manga should just unfollow. You all don't understand how great this manga is. You see, the whole chapter about MC's workplace is not for nothing, it's a set up for a grand case later. Trust me, I'm author's friend.
The hint is also spread all over the place too. The culprit wears ear phone, the noise complaint, the idol. Everything was showed, you guys just don't get it. Just admit you have skill issue and sit down. This is a masterpiece in the making.

I feel like if you're hoping for proper detective work it's a fruitless endeavor, when the whole point is to have twists, even in the first case where the perspective shift happens, and we figure out sensei is a piece of shit, should have laid the groundwork for how these are gonna go about.

She is solving shit that can't be solved normally, cold cases that had absolutely no way to connect to the killer, and it misleads you to paint a narrative and break it.
Also, people have killed for far less, a psychotic break due to build up of stress and anger is hardly that insane a concept in the real world.

The identity of the culprit is the focus of the entire FUCKING arc
The identity of the culprit is a backdrop of this fucking arc. The manga spent most of this arc introducing the detective and Spica's workplace, oh yeah, and also the murder case which Spica has already solved as of chapter 6, so there's no point in dropping any more clues.
even a FUCKING chart
You mean the one which was used as the title card for chapter 6, and not mentioned before nor since? So as to hint you at its importance, which is none.
we would be told who the culprit is from the get-go and the story would be about her trying to deal with them
You have a specific story in mind, which is not this one. Does this story have to fit one of the templates of storywriting, whatever they are?

Damn, pursuing murder over a simple noise complaint is such an ass move, karma caught up quickly

But how exactly do police get these notes of confession? Does she write some note right before killing the next individual and turn it in? Wouldn’t the police notice a fault in the handwriting or smt?
Considering her targets haven't shown 'remorse' before (but dang you'd think someone with 'sensitive ears' wouldn't become an idol, b/c i don't think her uniform/idol outfit has some kinda noise cancelling headphones or so)

It did say 'social media' (with the teacher it was on like their 'notes' app or whatever) tho so i assume it was just Spica-chan taking their phone and writing a confession on their behalf/Twitter/blog/etc before killing them so there won't be some autopsy/rigor mortis like "this was published after their death" or so

Yeah, because no one has killed anyone for silly reasons like that. Nope, not ever

It's not impossible but it's prolly harder to get away with it in Japan unless ur part of the yakuza as opposed to the states where some ppl are able to get ahold of a gun without a background check and would shoot at you just for looking at them funny
Oh so they were the upstairs neighbor, understandable death then :bleh:
I feel like if ur ears are that sensitive, you'd be bothered by /every/ neighbor not just the ones with kids since footsteps can be heavy depending on your gait/how you walk or ppl rushing to get to work/out the door when they're running late/etc (but you'd think all the cheers from the fans would drive them crazy too lol)

Damn... she was 15 when she did that... that's crazy.
It's even more crazy that she thought killing them was a better choice than moving out. Though if she was 15, moving out becomes more difficult. You either have no money or need your guardian's approval. But she probably didn't even think about moving out...

it would be a bit of a 'cliche' but it'd be interesting if the next arc was a bit of a 'challenge' for her like her coming across someone whose mind she couldn't read (if not the detective somehow joining her), or someone who also has powers.

Or some red herring where she accidentally thinks of someone as a 'misbutton' too soon b/c they have some kinda mental illness that gives them really bad intrusive thoughts/hallucinations or so (or i wonder if it'd still work the same way to 'read minds' if she came across a foreigner if it's a telepathy thing if not just based on visuals)

You are alloted the right for criticism for a work you are reading. Sometimes subtle hints can be overshadowed depending on the way the media is presented especially if it is not a focal point. Also setting up stuff for later is cool, but in the moment it's not unreasonable to say that people will have criticism for the moment it comes out. To say this is a masterpiece, is far from reality, but it's still an enjoyable read nonetheless. 8/10

....yeah uh...

No wonder why she was driven insane. Poor kids deserved a better father. Still inexcusable.
Wait, who kid ?
i feel like you think the killer is the child of the father when you said "inexcusable". If that true, no. she was just neighbor, and go there to complain about that family because they are too noisy

Sir this is supposed to be psychological about a girl going mental batman on her targets before killing them a Wendy's
