At the same time though that also feels like a red herring since most are grand spectacles done in private and not in the hallway with a bunch of people around.

Either way, it's sure to cause drama after they just resolved the bit of drama they were in not too long ago because of the lack of communication. You'd think they learned this lesson already, though I suppose I understand not wanting to cause your partner anxiety and whatnot about it but like... This is just going to cause more.

I think that's likely, though this author keeps me guessing more than most. Drama is part and parcel, but she's an odd character... The dichotomy between her sexual proclivities and social inexperience/ineptitude always makes the "standard" tropes just a little less certain. Though I feel they've suffered enough for a while, whether or not the author agrees with me remains to be seen.
