Debt can transfer through inheriting the estate, but even then you can refuse the inheritance altogether or make various deals to lessen the impact. In Japan specifically, you can inherit the debt only partially, so that it only matches the estimated value of the estate.

These "parents missing, here have a debt" stories are so stupid. But I suppose they are a cultural trope in Japan due to aggressive debtors with yakuza ties. True or false, it's similar to the American Lawsuit trope.

Sometimes i see that but there are also those I knew before the DMCA where chapters present. Maybe they requested it specifically like this. There are those but I'm pretty sure they are related to the DMCA.
Or the Mangadex team makes the deleted ones visible so you know they existed at some point or whatever reason.
