Also, said it before, and I'll say it again; but man Miko just can't catch a break. If she doesn't have to worry about the humans in her territory (especially Hinako), then it's also monsters/yokai who try to intrude (especially Shiori), then there's Hinako and Shiori's relationship and making sure that Shiori is happy (or at least not overly depressed), and now it's old crazy acquaintances from centuries ago.

I can understand Miko feeling worried, but honestly if there is one human who wouldn't care it'd be Hinako. And she should have more faith in herself and what she's done too. Times have changed and she's managed to change with them, that's more not less impressive given her past. And frankly, the allegory with humanity itself is pretty clear too. Miko was more monstrous back then? Well, what about humans? The kinds of stuff people got up to in the past, the numbers that killed and tortured each other, makes some small number by a "demon" practically laughable in comparison. Humanity itself has worked hard to civilize in the modern world and she deserves praise for not mindlessly acting like it's still the feudal era. And as a demi-god/spirit honestly it'd be directly on point if she was to some extent a reflection of ourselves, in reality that's what a lot of these legends were always about, holding up a mirror to our own behavior both monstrous and noble.

Also chuckling a bit at page 22, "bitch, swerve, I'm not as sentimental as the fox." "Oh, uh, well I'll just be heading off then..."

Hinako is literally still friends with Shiori who she wants to be killed by. Miko you don't gotta worry about whether or not she'd still be friends with you after finding out your past. I figure Hinako probably already assumes most monsters have eaten and killed people lol.

I am looking forward to see if they do explore the "monster" side of Miko though. It has been shown that she needs to constantly hold her instincts back from eating Hinako so it'd be fun to get a better look of what's going on in her mind and to see her constant struggle of holding herself back.

I think one problem might be that Miko wants Hinako to care. Not being worried that her best friend was a monster that brutally mauled humans to death would suggest that her suicidal thoughts are so strong they're overwhelming her sense of morality. Hence Miko is now in a Scylla and Charibdis situation where, if her past is revealed, Hinako would either have to abandon her or abandon humanity. At least this would be the problem as Miko perceived it.

Also miko probably can t kill the old god, I mean she lend her land to miko and miko need a land, also is she can lend a land and probably go do thing elsewhere she is more powerfull than miko that is stuck to a piece of land.
