They'll "date" for a short period of time (maybe go for a walk here and there, texts in the middle of the night, basically "Bakuman for poor people"), then they'll break up, and then MC will date that bland chick. So just a rehearsal of OreImo.

Well, still going to read it, the art is amazing, the paneling and Jojo poses are great, and maybe I'll end up wrong. For the first time ever. Highly doubt but hey if I am wrong I will be very happy.
