Where are you seeing that? 1/2 of Chapter 18 has just been released... Now, granted, the chapter title SOUNDS like the end....Looks like chapter 18 (plus an epilogue) is the end of this story, not sure if the axe was involved or not.

Now I understand Sakine better and I can see that she's not a bad person. She was just a victim of terrible circumstances. I empathize with her strongly. Hibiki is a broken person from the beginning, regardless of her family situation. She literally ruined her girlfriend life and left her with traumas and stigmas that haunt Sakine even now. Even if Hibiki redeems herself, Sakine is fully within her rights to hate her and not forgive her, since an apology does not fix things. Even now, Hibiki is evil, trying to forcibly steal Sakine from Chiyoko, regardless of Chiyoko's feelings for Sakine. Hibiki doesn't deserve a second chance, and she should leave her alone if Chiyoko is now her happiness.

I would be mad. Furious even. For quite some time. But eventually, I would start forgiving. Holding on to stuff and never forgiving, for those who genuinely try, are what keeps cycles going.
