The forests are absolutely massive, and the people live inside of hollowed out trees. Clothes and food are guaranteed, as long as your body is able to collect the abundant ether from the air and pay some of it as tax to sustain our goddess, Aushephex. GIANT bees.

Everyone knows their neighbors, and will most likely help you if you need it, just as you helped them.

That sounds amazing! Giant bees and tree homes sound way more magical than Earth!

Over here, many people live in boxes stacked on top of each other called apartments others has live in more standard rectangular shape house and we work for paper called money to get food and clothes among other things. No ether, sadly.

People can be distant, but sometimes they surprise you with kindness. It’s messy, noisy, but kinda beautiful in its own way. 😁
Wow I find it offensive none of you have reacted to my very deep insight yesterday like that’s just soo rude (。ì _ í。)
Random thought

Summer and winter are both girls names and summer can be a last name so you can have someone called winter summer

Now if you wanted to take this further haru is a Japanese first name that means spring so..
you could have someone called haru winter summer
(Or spring winter summer)

Even if middle names basically dont exist in japan
Wwwww
Genuine question for my non-American folks, why do ppl from outside of America get angry at us for not adhering to your social norms but ppl come here and post on the internet angry bc someone asked them to tip or sm in a restaurant or they make videos shaming the food and people here? Obviously, I think we should obey your norms if we come to your home but why do I see so many ppl who refuse to do the same?? sorry for the rant but I am curious.

@Manko-sensei ok, so I read the article, and it's messed up that's not what all surrogacy is like. A lot of people surrogate for their family and its fine. From what I understand its surrogacy businesses that are the worst about it but I don't understand why some bad stuff makes surrogacy as a whole bad.

No, it's not fine to surrogate, even if done conscensually for your family and/or for free. Most europeans see it as a form of slavery even in those cases, or a form of serious degrading explotation at best. The human body is "indisposable" as written in French law, it's the wording used to penally condemn slavery and that's also the reason surrogacy is forbidden here, and also why blood/organ donation must be free and can't be paid.

@UnnamedPlayer if it's done consensually, it is fine though?? It doesn't have to be degrading nor is it slavery. Slavery is forced and not something someone has a choice in so a woman consensually bearing child for someone is not slavery and the fact that you use that term so loosely is gross. If a woman is getting paid or simply supported in her pregnancy it is also not exploitation. You have to understand that stuff is different here in America, so surrogacy is not as bad here. While we most definitely have our issues as a country, surrogacy is not one of them.
