And... Well... This mangs has been about glorifying the protagonist from the beginning. Its standard formula is "heroes stomp goons to show how awesome they are" and then "new enemy shows up, whom the heroes are completely unable to harm" (wow, he must be really strong!) and then the protagonist shows up to trivially dunk on this big evil guy. It sets up the enemy and has the protagonist knock him down effortlessly, showing how awesome he is. Or something. This is just the extension of that.
