I mostly agree. This manga probably should end here, because it would otherwise wander into really dumb territory.

That said, I dislike this idea that there’s nothing more to the story once the couple gets together. Counterexample: Hana ni Arashi. You can in fact write a compelling story about a couple’s relationship without bullshit manufactured drama; Most authors just can’t seem to pull it off, unfortunately.
