Here you go. A typical T-san story.
One night, some plans fell through last minute, so I decided to head out to my secret fishing spot—this quiet bridge just outside town. It’s the perfect place for night fishing. Always peaceful. Always good bites.
That night was perfect. I was pulling fish like crazy. Everything felt just right… until suddenly it didn’t.
Out of nowhere, I got hit with this wave of cold. Like something was watching me.
I tried to shake it off. Didn’t want to give up my lucky streak. Then someone spoke up behind me.
“You out here fishing too?”
I turned around and there was this middle-aged guy in a business suit just standing there.
“Yeah,” I said. “Fish are biting pretty good tonight.”
He smiled. “So I’ve heard.”
“You here to fish (tsuri) too?” I asked, trying to keep the conversation going. Something about him felt… off.
He paused. “…Something like that.”
The whole time, I couldn’t stop thinking about how weird it was. Who goes fishing in full business attire, at night, in the middle of nowhere?
"You're not gonna hang (tsuri)?"
It was his voice—no, it was coming from above me.
"Come on, you hang too."
Trembling with fear, I looked up.
And there he was.
Hanging.
He wasn't talking about fishing.
Before I could even react, the air got thick. Shadows appeared all around me—dozens of them.
Whispering in my ear, "Let's hang together... Hang with us..."
"That's enough."
It was a voice I recognized.
It was T-san. A templeborn, with crazy strong spiritual senses.
He stepped between me and the shadows, pulled out a fishing rod, and shouted "Haa!!"
The fishing line flashed with this blinding light, and when he swung it, it sliced through the shadows like a sword, cutting them down one by one!
After he had taken care of some of the shadows, he muttered a spell and light exploded through the area, and in the blink of an eye, the shadows were completely wiped out.
“You night fishing too, T-san?”, I asked.
He pointed at me and said, “Yeah. Though I hooked a pretty small one tonight.”
On the way home, he told me that bridge was a known suicide spot. A place where one hanging leads to another.
"Looks like the sun's up. Might go fishing for some girls in town."
Saying that he hopped in his car with a smile and drove off like it was nothing.
And I stood there, thinking to myself:
"Man, templeborns are amazing..."
