It appears that page 18 got shrunk becase of that fix, its the only one in this chapter that is smaller than the others.Fixed, thanks for pointing that out.
I personally vote for undeath. Machines are static. You always need to rely on new parts to avoid decay, upgrade yourself or breaking down. But when your source of power IS decay that gets transformed into magic energy you can use to sustain yourself, you don't need machines. The only upside to machines is the greater physical resistance. But proper investment in bone magic can equal that."From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me..."![]()
I do wonder what would be better, the blessed machine or the undeath...
The Deceiver: Por qué no los dos?

Agreed. I personally hate to be a zombie or something with rotting flesh. But a spirit that can still interact with the world sounds pretty good. It’s definitely the cleanest option. They don’t really need to worry about anything breaking. They’re just one singular spiritual entity Rather than a machine or body with parts that break down over time.I personally vote for undeath. Honestly, a researcher should already have weakness to sunlight and religion, vampire or not.For any kind of intellectual, being undead is a dream come true. Especially if you retain your intellect and memories, and gain magical powers in exchange. Who needs that fleshy body anyway? So many downsides. Only upsides to becoming a Lich (which still has a corporeal form), Vampire (Corporeal, but craves blood and weakness to Light and other religious shenanigans, downside), or Specter/Phantom (Incorporeal, feels like a tossup if it's a downside or an upside to not be able to touch things/be touched).
'sides, evil or good is kind of a moot dichotonomy. Some people do evil to evil people, which could be considered a good thing, and some do good to good people, but it might be considered evil by some.
