This reminded me of that satirical piece about future arcgeologist discovering a McDs and thinking it was a temple.
Broken phone isekai influence would be a hilarious premise for a setting.
don't worry when the world goes to shit, this will probably happen

Wish coffee had that effect on me too. But alas, it does nothing to my drowsiness, I can pour cupspots of coffee down my throat until bedtime and still fall swiftly asleep...

I really don't understand how people think mayo by itself is any good. It's better when paired with other ingredients, like in a sandwich or a baked dish, where it isn't the main or only flavour
In my opinion, mayo are taste good alone because of the sour and sweet flavor mixed together, it's tasty on my opinion because i really like sour!

I did taste japanese mayonnaise. It is actually alittle overrated. it just tastes alittle different. not much different from the european ones. i do love mayo but i won't eat JUST that. i demand to put it on something.. not just eat it. :worry:
I agree. Plain, steaming-hot white rice, or just plain white bread are the best go-to with mayo. Just put a slab of that bad boy on them... mmmhmmmm

I've also had it, and I can see maybe having a small spoonful of it occasionally to satisfy a sudden craving for it when you're not particularly hungry, but JP's obsession with their mayo is definitely one of their more bizarre cultural quirks.:shamihuh:

Yeah... it gets funny sometimes to see them cover their with so much mayo that it is no longer a meal with mayo but mayo with a meal in it. at least i hope it is just limited to anime and manga.
in some anime i saw them putting mayo on popcorn and chips.

It wouldn't be an isekai without a re-inventing mayonnaise subplot, as though condiments are some sort of modern invention and people in the past never thought about seasoning their food.

Funny of you to say that when Mayonnaise is a modern era condiment with oldest mayonnaise like recipe being from around 1740s-1750s and the word mayonnaise first recorded appearance in 1806.

On a side note, have you had Hawaiian macaroni salad? It's two cups of mayo for every cup of dry macaroni. The dish, in essence, is mayonnaise with macaroni to add texture, seasoned with green onion and shredded carrot.
