You’re better off waiting for chapters to stack up or dropping it altogether then.
because quite honestly the MC likely won’t improve until several chapters later at best or this will be the main conflict of the MC throughout the story at worst as I assume like with most stories the author will take time to develop the male mc away from his gold digging intentions and it would save you time by seeing if you enjoy the future developments or not to continue reading.

My guy is broke as fck, someone offered him a bunch of money to get together with their child, mc can easily fool the weirdo kid without committing but decided to genuinely try to fall in love with her.
He may be a gold digger but at least he’s a professional gold digger lol.

This is such an interesting dynamic. MC really thought he could pace their relationship like normal but against Yako? Good thing teach was there to kick him into action.
I think MC's motives are very understandable, he's trying to salvage anything he can out of his situation for survival but he's still genuinely trying to not hurt anyone if possible. He recognizes that Yako is a kind person despite her quirks and is willing to try to give her what she needs, someone who truly loves her. Even if he couldn't do it at least Yako seems to be enjoying the time she's spending with him, at worst they could work out a compromise as good friends instead. (but you know that's not gonna happen this is a romcom after all bro would be head over heels for her before he realizes it LOL)
My question is why did whoever arranged this marriage for money not tell her at all about it? Did they really just take one look at this child and went "It's so over, let's just pay someone to marry her"

all "non-gold diggers" completely ignored her she was hella depressed but now she's got a friend and thanks to him even became friends with the class rep, was she better off before? I like him and I'm interested in how this relationship will affect him also. If he was a normal good guy well, there are tons of manga like that which become boring fast
