I've never liked the, "if you make this person cry," promise. There are so many reasons people cry, many of them good or necessary, and yet these characters so often treat it as a literal promise rather than a promise to take care of someone.

That conversation between Ghozal and Balirossa was a legitimately mature one. Sure Ghozal got a little carried away at the end, but at least he and she have more of an understanding of how each views each other (and Uliminas). It does feel like they've progressed.

And the last few pages sure answered my question about growth rates. It seems like any oddities will be attributed to their half-human, half-demon wolf nature. It looks like potty training is a major priority.

…welp. They did the accelerated growth thing. To me this is still terribly shoddy writing, as it just feels like the author wanted more characters instead of actually developing the MCs. I pray it at least doesn't take the horrid turns the LN had with it, as that is extremely uncomfortable in many ways.

For sure. Trust and love are 2 different things. It is like saying eating is better than drinking. When clearly they both serve different things.

Hell you can love someone none romantically. Just like friends and family. And that in many times is "higher" than a romantic interest.

I dunno how to put my feelings about this chapter into the best wording.. I think the blonde haired hero is gonna be in it deep, but luck out. Balirossa is totally in an awkward position in a forced in more than one way romance. Those kids growing quickly at least has an explanation of sorts.
I liked where this manga went in some ways beyond the anime adaptation. But am also concerned for possible future developments. It feels like the mangaka is trying to work through the less well designed ideas the original author had, and make them more worthwhile and sensible.
Also, was surprised this came so soon.
