I enjoyed this manga, was a lot of fun when it first debuted. Seemed to have more potential then when Abel was messing around in the village. The idea of a totems as medium for magic is cool, reminds me of a WoW shaman.

As other people said it took too long between updates to keep me invested. With how much they hyped the sister up, it did fall flat. I agree she gets away with it all with no consequences. Abel doesn't even reject her out right. That being said, I still don't regret the overall read, thank you for the chapter.

It is a sad axe but the totem magic might not have much to be explored. Even though the interactions are fun to read, seems like the limit has been reached.

his sister was supposed to dead here because of his stupidity. iirc this was supposed to be his character development point as he finally get the weight of the situation and his own actions.

My bias toward this series aside, this axed ending does have things to offer for those invested in imagining "What-ifs" in stories they've read before and liked. A thing that few "Novel Ads" manga adaptation play to its advantage.
With what short time they've had, they introduced few new hooks deviating form the source materials:

Spoiler: Hooks?

• Abel is still OP, but his new arsenal of spells (Abel Ball, Abel Whip) were acquired from being close to Mea. He also lost both of his prized Totems, both that made his fights in the WN easier.
• Mea's power alerts the sky god's minions, meaning that the group will have to up on constant watch for her. Shame that the thing that hid her powers disintegrated, eh?
• The group now has Giselle, Merezeff and his men, along with the goal of of finding the World Tree. So many things can be shoved in before or after that to introduce new arcs or adapt from the novel.
• Giselle may have gotten off scott-free, but she still hasn't learned her lesson. So there is room for her issues with Abel to flare up and bungle the adventure where you'd least expect it.
• Etc.

But what do I know.
It's a manga that managed to get me interested to read the novel myself, even look up the Light Novel and its bonuses (a bit too late sadly), to which I am grateful. So I tried to show my gratitude by helping translating it, and then it ends like that. Oh well....

I get why the story was axed, but I'm still sad to see it go. The best chapters were when he was just pissing around in his village, and I feel like the quality fell off once he left home.
