It isn't really a surprise; the human mind can only take about 100 years before it begins to fracture even under the best circumstances. Having rules for hundreds of years, and having no need to change his mind about anything, of course the emperor is evil.

He sees himself as the origin of morality, so everything he does is automatically moral.

I've read a decade ago or so that a normal person was getting the equivalent of 60 years of news reports of a normal citizen just a hundred years before, or less, we are getting even more now.
So a king of a medieval world that doesn't breaks out the dark age would likely get much less info in a year than me and you.
That wouldn't strain the mind so much.

Idk if I remember the spoiler wrong but
its quite sad and annoying that the women who are pretty much sex dolls/slaves don't get their revenge on the king because if I remember correctly the spoiler someone posted what happens is when the gem breaks the king and the other 4 mages turns into skeletons/dusts because they exceeded their age thx to not being immortal anymore because the gem is gone
:nyoron: so yea sucks for the women

Not every "revenge" needs to be personal and bloody. Not every story is a Wuxia where the villain has to suffer for all eternity...

I'd imagine that ens result is a blessing, they csn just live their lives without fear, or being controlled.

your acting as if the women wont be mind broken/bundle of trauma, revenge sometimes HELPS people become cure of said trauma hence why its sad that they MIGHT not get that chance to take revenge (as in stabbing the dude) BUT at the end of the day the story isn't really about the women nor the king hence why I'm not surprised as to the end of the king being what it is and instead its more IRONIC of them turning into dust when they wanted to be immortal
NOW something that I don't know since I don't think anyone's talked about it is WHY is the rock a thing? like I can't recall where it came from and is it the ONLY rock on the planet?

I don't think having people actively torture their abuser, or even murder, is a good therapy tool. It's also not something you can really throw around lightly.
I firstmost believe that people just want to live their lives..

I'm just bummed that this is Monthly.. lol

I want to see how our boy is going to help out the two he finally got to meet, even if he can't speak with them yet.
The raws for the second half is up , they’re pretty cute, wearing the clothes the golem showed in a past panel lol

The rock is a magic stone, is the biggest on the planet.
Normal monsters have magic stones in their bodies, but nothing even close to that one.
Is not a natural magic stone, it was created by the 3 gods the human kingdom worships.
The 3 gods aren't gods, they are candidates, they committed a forbidden action and created a star (world) before becoming real gods, then they tried to summon a hero and failed, the car incident at the start was it, the 4 people with MC were the summons, but they were sent back to Earth, unclear if resurrected or just the bodies, MC was a extra and absorbed the power of 4 heroes, the massive feats he can do are thanks to that, and if had not he would have died/exploded from having too much magic in his body, the barrier and other stuff are a costant drain that makes so he doesn't get too full, it was by coincidence but it saved his life.
The world is unknown to the real gods because the teacher/caretaker of the 3 put a barrier around it to hide it so that they wouldn't be punished.
The 3 made the stone because they weren't worshiped by the people on the world they made, the divine beasts in the forest were, yes, crazy kids with divine power twisted a country for 200 years because of that.
They made so that the human king would make get worshipped and the divine beasts get cursed and die.
The 3 fake gods were punished by making them humans without any powers, but every memory of having them, I didn't read all the novels but 1 or 2 were able to hide some before being sealed/reincarnated, and planned to somehow ascend back, not realizing they ar einferior to the real gods and their own leaders.
The magic stone granted the king and his closed aides long age, not immortality, incredible power in battle and a impenetrable barrier, it was even able to make farm fields sprout more food, but the obvious problem is that it needed sacrifices costantly, and the fields would only yeld more for some years, after a while the magic in the ground would have the opposite effects, that is why the country was having problems with that, and they didn't knew how to remove the magic from the ground.

Holy hell, they're just piling on the "This is an evil king" thing, aren't they. At this point, he's not even a character, just a caricature.
Evil? He passed that point around 20 chapters ago... I'm not even sure that there's a word strong enough to describe him at this point

Actually, it's the lack of information that causes the decline more than overload. If there's nothing new, the mind has no reason to continue developing, and the mind is like anything else in the body: If it doesn't receive periodic, regular exercise, it begins to atrophy.

I've read a bit of the novel and certainly this atrocius king didn't have a super developed brain, the information he received was mostly the same, and he surronded himself with yesman.
But that is overthinking, doubt the author ever thought anything about that originally.
