If we take Issei here at least the girls liked his perverseness, but this dude doesn't have any likable traits. IDK why they still have him. I'm hoping that the new royal crest thingy will permanently take over or combine with his personality to make a new and better Kassim.

The characters wants a person who has dignity and respect for them, which Kassim did not, so when he changed into an upright citizen that complete personality change made him go from a yandere simulator gooner to a charming prince. And I think the reason the characters wants him back is mainly to show a dramatic effect to emphasize the change.

I think the original LN takes itself more serious, the manga has much more gags and fanservice because that's what sells in Japan. Hell, before this adaptation there was another manga that followed this same story seriously but was axed after a single volume.
