I thought they were actual DMCA strikes meaning nothing really can be done but if what your is correct then that would be nice

Yeah, me too, I personally like Mangadex more.

Their rules are pretty clear regarding the upload of content. At the end of the day, scanlation is still copyright infringement of sorts, we just make use of legal indifference towards it since the Japanese authors dont care much what happens outside Japan, until their content goes into the western market, then the licensed companies do care more.

It's not even that. It's one thing if someone actually purchased the license, but the vast majority of these takedowns aren't licensed. It's some Karen mass DMCAing every manga they can, burring Mangadex in legal fees and making it too expensive to act in their legal right.

Honestly I was already prepared to jump ship probably in favor of [REDACTED] or [REDACTED]. Or even more likely through mihon.

Yeah MD has the nice UI and forum but what's the damn point if you can't actually read any manga? Only sucks that I'm gonna have to spend time migrating all my series.

unfortunately it seems like mangadex is now going the way of [REDACTED], sad but it was bound to happen eventually
if official publishers didnt have such horrendously predatory pay models i would be more than happy to pay for a subscription service, but the majority seem to really be in love with the whole "key to unlock chapters" method which would make a gacha game blush
might just be time to bite the bullet and use the A-word sites since they seem to have the most longevity

I think you get it wrong, there are still uploads of manga even today and i doubt they have the license to do so, i think is about monetization with linking to external websites, or at least is how i understand the whole thing, otherwise nobody will be able to upload anything anymore.

I am already seeing a group uploading their chapters in [REDACTED] after a take down here, and there was no external linking or any type of monetization with that manga, it was a manga just like the two I upload.

Just read the upload policies, there is no room for misinterpretation.

Well, then make no sense, at this point MD can close down completely since nobody have the license or the right to upload a translation with the permission of the official publisher.
