Honestly my biggest issue isn’t so much that the MC wants the situation to be over. It’s that he seems to think that the childhood friend is all mentally well for no real reason when everything points in the opposite way.

Like it doesn’t feel like he thinks the fact that she got raped is an issue anymore. He keeps talking about the past and how they’re like siblings, but obviously that hasn’t been the case since he let her get raped so it feels like the MC is bordering on being braindead.
