If you had an ounce of reading comprehension, you'd know that pregnancies are ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED AND SUBSIDIZED BY THE STATE in the work's universe. Because in that universe men are legally obligated to donate semen to attempt to fix the gender ratio by increasing the amount of pregnancies. As there was a disease that made men weaker and fucked the world's gender ratio for like centuries.

Or maybe the manga left it out when adapting.

Because the intricate worldbuilding got skipped over.
