Finally, the fight is over. So the real question is what did Akita learned from this fight?

Even with a massive weight disadvantage, Rikudou managed to beat MMA champ because she wasn't bound by any rules and managed to deceive the MMA champ to win. So I assume the lesson is that.

However, even if Akita treat every fight like it's a death match, he still need to learn the fundamentals of fighting unless Rikudou wants him to learn as he goes?

Predicting the next plot point, depending on how long Rikudou recovers from this fight, Karate Kid probably won't be afraid to challenge Akita to a fight soon. So uh, better start training by your own way, Akita.

They can. In theory. But doing it properly becomes next to impossible when one choking you expect that counter and can control shifting of the body weight and center of mass, on top of rapidly increasing dulling of senses and awareness of surroundings.

It is less a effective move and more last desperate attempt that might not even be executed properly or at all.

And that makes for boring writing to me just like how I found the writing in Kakegurui to be boring. I won't be sticking around for Walmart version of Yumeko to preach about vIoLeNcE, then proceed to get her ass handed to her in a no win situation only for the asspull at the end. Just like Kakegurui, if the poster girl wasn't some tired out trend of being crazy, and attractive with giant bazonga this would be much lower than a 7.8 rating here.

Lol, I really like when these guys get angry over people calling out this manga's bad writting and saying "let us enjoy our Baki-like".

Baki at least spells to you everything is dumb as fuck, even the art with the weird ass face expressions. Here we have the beggining being at least a bit believable, to then making the female character (literally a normal, with no apparent muscles, high school girl) not being hospitalized when getting rocked by a professional guy that weights double what she does and trained more than her. Like, even I like ridiculous elements, when they're properly established since the beggining in a story (And don't come to me with "Urd durr, look at the name of the manga ", this shit doesn't excuse shitty writting.

This is probably the worst possible route author could have taken.

Not only are they still pretending to be realistic with the “rear naked choke” (he could probably knock her out by smashing his back into the ground)

But also it doesn’t even feel like Rindou is strong either because changing the timer and still attacking afterward is just a shitty move…

That in an actual fight (something she harps about continuously) wouldn’t happen.

It just makes her violence seem like a play for ego rather than a sense of violence like her character entails.

Better if she were just an aura farmer at this point…might be able to pull in a basic audience with the art.

problem is author can’t even make her strong.

She won this by using the cheapest move imaginable instead of thinking smart or just being strong.

She’s a fraud tbh.

Goliath would not have fallen over from a rock to the head like a chump, dude was a freaking mountain of a man, and even if he did , he would have grabbed David when he went in for the kill and crushed him.

Such Bad Writing, now there is no believable challenger for David.
