Did she never confess to liking him? Am I bugging? I thought he knew that Sawa liked him? Also isn't this like negative progress from someone he's met for like 2 weeks?

The core conceit of this manga is the most dumbass shit in the world, but it's being treated like it's this serious, realistic issue. How the hell no one at any point goes "but she's not an idol, she's under no obligation to act like one, or hold to any of the insane rules idols have to follow, she's just a regular girl, so what the fuck are we actually talking about here?" is beyond ridiculous. Even more so, because it's contrasted against the somewhat grounded, realistic romance of the bipolar lesbian bitch, so you don't even have the excuse that you're reading a ridiculous gag manga that plays its silly premise straight.

FOr the love of GOD SHE'S NOT AN IDOL, STOP TREATING HER LIKE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This girl is annoying as F***

Just let Sawa and OUR MC have a relationship! They're just normal teenager!!!!
agree with her that in the start, sawa and her best friend heavily leaned into the idol prince persona, and accepted what others were doing and kinda felt like encouraging it, so its kind understandable that there are people who think that she is idol first before school girl

BUUUT its still very annoying.

Wait...aren't they already dating? Wouldn't that nullify whatever idol bs she's talking about right now?

Yep, she did. Which is what makes this chapter more frustrating.

I suppose you could argue that since the confession was a while ago for them that he probably thinks how she might not feel the same anymore, but still.

Nope. The only two dating are Marika and the student council president.

Right, of course, but it's always been extremely up front with what setting it's telling you to accept for the purposes of this story (it's repeated to you at the beginning of every chapter in the narration). It does play its premise completely straight, it's just whether you can accept the suspension of disbelief to enjoy the story.

I really dislike the whole idol argument,
I think even actual idols should be able to date and such.
I know I'm in the minority, but this parasocial stuff is weird to me.

OK, so this is as dumb as everyone is saying, but actually it's even dumber. Because if she was an idol (which of course she isn't), he would not actually be a fan. That's not their relationship. He's equivalent to someone in showbiz with her but not in front of the camera. Manager, cameraman who also handles props and brings coffee . . . a colleague, is what I'm saying. Rules for fans of idols do not apply.
