Hard to say if they removed it in the LN so the manga then adapted from it, because that one never got translated, all the replies here mentioning that, are from WN readers, not LN readers

But yes it do happen in the WN, but unknown in the LN

Isn't this gonna be a pain later since this way the army as a whole captured cardacia, not just allen. At least his contribution on the assault isn't so high (he still pushed back the enemy's army with his bombing till cardacia)

Tbf what he does after saving saving the heroine should be accolades enough to secure his spot. Plus Allen has already single-handedly captured multiple other forts before this as well I’m pretty sure.
