IIRC Nobu is set in the Germany/HRE-equivalent, since Gen is in the French-equivalent.

Also, Keltia does imply to me of “Celtia” -> Celts.

It's crazy how effective this series has been with its world building and character development. I'm constantly in shock at how much political drama and intrigue has been stirred up and spurred on with just cuisine. One of the nobles appreciating knowledge of their local food and the other noble recognizing what soy sauce was to get the ball rolling even further honestly had me super excited.

Seeing this whole eyeglasses subplot move along too has been extremely fascinating too, especially because all Nobu did was set the stage for this whole thing to push on. Zezeman intuiting what they should do to market the glasses and get em spread out honestly had me wilding and feeling just as short-sighted as Lonbauldt when it came to the scale and cost LOL. Lonbauldt's whole arc and this expansion of Aitheria's commerce is just so satisfying aaaargh!

I can't wait to see how things look in the kitchen after this too, Ludwig took so many things to heart and it paid off tremendously!!!

(also shout out benedicta she looks so GOOD in those glasses)

Ikr? It always amazes me how much they bring back various plot threads and have them mingle together and flow so well that you can see actual progress being made to the world itself and not just within Nobu.

Man, I wish there was a second anime season with a larger emphasis on the world building instead of just being an advertisement for various Izakaya dishes. This series deserves more care and attention.

Manga's have different artists, but the same writer. Dunno if scanlator tonsoftons and cuddlebuns are coördinating, if yes, it's well played, if no it's fortunate timing
