This guessing game is stupid, it dragged on way too long. The main girl fucked up and her insistence of not course correcting even with her friend pushing her to do the right thing is super annoying. She doesn’t have any right to get mad that the tomboy is getting a leg up because of her self-inflicted stupidity.
I mean, sure, but if we're being honest that plot point isn't as interesting or funny as it was when first introduced.I get what you mean, but this misunderstanding is like, half of the plot, at least up to where it is now. There are other things to move the story, like moving more towards an actual relationship or introducing the third friend, but if the author solves this, they would have one less plot point to the story.
