It must crush the mangaka. Spending all of that time getting the flow of your story and everything ready to a deadline, only for the publisher to hack it into pieces. Must be soul destroying. Unfortunately, it's becoming more and more common however. The publishers would rather charge a little less for each (so you feel like you're getting a good deal in the back of your mind) but charge you 3-4 times for the complete chapter.
Anyway, I'm super appreciative that you all understand why and realise that it's 100% not through choice we're doing it this way.

and yes as someone noted before "merda" = "shit" in portoguese, "mierda" in spanish very similar at "merda", in italian "merda" = "shit" too, maybe in the translation was Merida? I was like lol!
