What a perfect pair of role models. Box cutter? You're delusional, nothing like that in this sweet and pure manga.

I didn't expect Kasumi's mistake to be resolved so neatly but AriSaku likes to surprise with its drama, in both fun and fearsome ways. Though Igarashi is acting excited about part 2 again and the editor's note more than hints where it's going. We're in the 1st chapter of volume 3 so it's setting the tone for what's to come.

Speaking of surprising, that was a soft 好き but there's no way to interpret it besides romantic love out in the open now. It was a little ambiguous how seriously Haruyo was taking their romance but it clearly means a lot to her, more than just a game. The senpais also casually refer to their S relationship in past tense as if it were naturally the introduction to a real relationship. The only hesitancy AriSaku shows towards lesbian relationships is in Kasumi's self-loathing, which is interesting for being so Class S inspired.

Mizuki's description of secrets sounds an awful lot like there's something she feels the urge to share. I don't completely agree with her - some secrets are either too damaging or mundane to have any desire to reveal - but it's true they're a paradoxical thing. And it's revealing of everyone's characters. Mizuki has her dark side she seems to want to let out, Sayori may be rebellious but she clearly values order and clearing the air over anyone getting hurt, Kasumi bears hers inwards and stews on it to her own harm. Haruyo... well she's happy and that's most important of all.
Please keep her that way.

We're now onto half-chapters, releasing every 2 weeks.

According to the mangaka, Haruyo at the start of the date was like a dog being tricked into thinking she's going on a walk, then taken to the vet.

There's another letter? THERE'S ANOTHER GIRL?! (potentially a sixth one) oh my!
Well yeah it was a silly idea to throw your onee san at an unknown girl and think she will be happier that way, but now they're no more secrets them and that's great!

But the darkness remain for the second half, maybe? who knows! oh megami sama, protect these yuri seeds

I wonder if they will naturally fall into a more romantic relationship slowly, or if they see another outside influence that helps them move past the "sister' relationship like a movie/book with open Lesbian characters. That way it kinda comes back full circle, as a book is what started this relationship.

I damn near started crying when we see that panel of the four of them on p15 and Kasumi was so much smaller than the others, on top of her meek apology to Haru in her shame of that moment. She looked so small, and yet she owned up and came back on their walk home.

I did shed a tear at Kasumi's whole hand holding onto Haru's pinky, though. The light and brightness of them walking, and Kasumi divesting herself of that worry of feeling both duty-bound to let Haru go while being hopelessly jealous at the very thought, into being able to breathe again upon hearing Sayori had someone - so much visual joy just poured off the page in that whole scene, right down the Haru's radiant smile when Kasumi affirmed she loved her (and the unambiguous kind, no less).

This is definitely taking a turn with the private focus shifting back toward Mizuki & Sayori in the second half, but for now I feel like Kasumi & Haru's resolving moment and affirmation of how they feel, made me positively bouyant.

So soft, so sweet.
11.1? This looked like a full length chapter to me
The author structures the half chapters (released every two weeks) so that they can be read like one individual chapter.

Heck, I really love it when Haruyo goes into senpai-mode and she naturally rizzes up Kasumi without much thinking about it.
I hope we do get the scene of them in their true date-date and them just having fun now that the whole conflict with her feelings has been resolved.

I hope its resolved.

Wow, this didn't go how I expected at all. With Kasumi's feelings out in the open, I hope this is a sign that the plot is going more in the direction of everything collapsing around Kasumi and Haruyo while they seek comfort in each other, rather than Kasumi and Haruyo falling apart themselves. I'm very excited/afraid for part two with the senpais.

Thank you for the TL!

Oh no, we're deconstructing Class S and I think Lover's Suicide is on the menu. With one of the older couples involved somehow. I'm hopeful that kind of tragedy is history, and not destiny. Class Rep has something to get off her chest and we're to assume it's heavy (or she's just homophobic but I'm doubting that).

Kasumi and Haruyo will be okay, since deconstructing Class S would fall short without a happy-ish ending. They'll go through a lot but I'm much more worried about the other couples. :worry:
