One thing that I liked about the light novel that they didn't convey in the manga was that Ayaka immediately headed toward the Pet Center, but stopped herself and asked Haruto if it was okay, since they were there to buy a gas burner (not a "stove" as mentioned in the manga; a handheld burner, for searing meat and such). The mental image of Ayaka immediately taking off toward the little doggos before catching herself is too cute, and I'm sad that it didn't make it into the manga.
Still, at least we have a visual medium for this story. I still hope they manage to get to her public self-destruction shortly after officially dating (by casually mentioning that she's both living with Haruto and has bathed with him (in swimsuits)).
