Isn't it time the grandfather notices how (self-)destructive his grandchild is, and what dangers and losses it exposes him and his empire to?
That mentor/teacher/secretary (?) of his who'd been raising Kaz to be the husband and fixer and everything for the empire and for Rua tried to say what was going on was selfdefeating, but the grandfather was strangely delusional.
At some point, though, something has to happen. That "secretary" would have been keeping tracks of the idiocy, surely?
So why the silence?
I guess now's a good time, since we have the 2 established love interests firmly entrenched, and Rua's started on a new rampage.

Well. There's an argument for saying he stepped in front of Hiiragi to make sure Rua doesn't forget HE is the target, and that he will act on whatever she comes up with.
It would have been nice if he had taped all her antics, but it would seem just a bit weird to have something like that at hand, since he'd crushed Rua's listening devices.
