Pretty sweet, honestly I'm fine with MC and perhaps the author having a more forgiving approach so far. I've been burned completely by the complete over the top punishment the author seemed to think was reasonable in My childhood friend now gf is being pimped in the toilets.

I think if we're focusing on the positive connections MC has made then the people surrounding him or the systems that are supposed to protect him doing so properly to the true culprits in future would be a more satisfying way to go with it. MC being open to connection is a good step forward from his starting position.
