what a way to close out the volume, that "It's so quiet..." page and the double page spread of Brian getting ready to trample her sister's legacy are way too good. Hard not to get excited over the POV being handed back to Laurel at the end after getting a better picture of who she's chasing after...!

I'm intrigued by whether the timing of this arc in the manga and the events in the game are a coincidence.
I think its totally possible with how popular uma musume has become, but i cant imagine them starting a new project until cinderella grey is fully animated

If they really want to go that far. Because as far as I understand, they'll need more than 4-5 seasons to do that. At the moment, their main story hasn't gone beyond 3 seasons, a couple of OVAs, and a movie.

What do you mean? If they keep going at the same pace, Cinderella Grey has another two seasons max, and it was received super well. They're obviously going to finish it and then they'll probably start a new anime project after that.
Whether it's Star Blossom next probably depends on how far the manga has progressed at that point and whether they have good ideas for another OVA/Movie/Season of Pretty Derby or not.

In what way would planning for a new anime project or finishing the current highly successful anime adaptation for their highly successful mobile game not be "based on their own expectations"?
