In the beginning both were considering giving up on their dreams because of thoughts like "someone like me could never...". I think Shinobu's response to Fumi's confession will mirror the response Sakura gave to fuckboi which is never shown. Just another possibility to stew on before we see more in 132.

I think it's very difficult that both answers are like a mirror; Sakura and the fuckboi crossed a line, while Shinobu and Fumi haven't crossed that line

I just checked, and she clear up the misunderstanding about that in Chapter 113, and I think Shinobu does believe her.

Fumi did explain to Shinobu what happened that night. I read a chapter that confirmed it.
