That was sarcasm. Talk about a manga with so much wasted potential.

Rent a girlfriend is as frustrating as A Couple of Cuckoos... both are so fucking slow it hurts my eyes always. But for the people who wanna read something good its a manhwa: HeartAching. Unfortunately there are only 15 chapter but this manhwa is awesome.

I stopped paying attention after the movie arc. That's the ending of rent a girlfriend to me.

Genuinely so peak and showed this dude had talent as a writer. Then threw it all way literally the next chapter after lol

I already forgot what happened after the arc? was it the arc with the kiss at the end in the taxi?

That is where it should have transitioned from them liking one another to them being a real couple which is the frustrating part he could have kept going with the story showing us how they connected on a deeper level instead back to square negative 3

Like grapara but not as bad

Ok, let me remind you all that there are far worse character destructions in the manga world.

Just for some perspective…

…Usagi Drop

(Those who just know the anime, stay the fuck away from the manga…)
At least Usagi Drop told you it was going to happen when the fucking childhood friend cock blocked the MC from flirting with the single milf while still wanting to date his daughter lmaoooo, you can scream "I SEE THE ENDING" when the daughter caught up on this and saw her chance to get MC.

It's been a long time since I've read it but it's like any of the actually good character growth that came from MC in the movie arc was just completely dropped.

We find out why Chizuru is doing what she's doing. Not to mention her grandmother was dying. They and others work so hard just so the grandmother can see Chizuru in a movie. It was just so fucking peak.

At this point the MC continued to show support and hugged her as she cried after the passing. They should have become a couple from there. MC was actually likeable.

Then literally the next chapter he's back to acting how he usually did and like nothing happened. Like what the fuck.

What the hell is wrong with some jp readers?

The original work is by Airi-sensei, after all... When it comes to NTR depictions, Karamizakari was merciless and unforgiving, so it seems like they'll be depicting Sakura-chan's descent into infatuation with a handsome guy in a very detailed way. It's scary lol They've been building up to Sakura-chan being cheated on for over 100 chapters, so there's no way it'll end with just normal play. It seems like they're going to completely destroy the readers' brains. After such intense interactions, the depiction of Sakura-chan's shock when she finds out the truth is going to be incredible. It's getting interesting!

I'm having trouble deciphering this one.

Next time, I'm not sure if Fumi-chan will reject me, and I'm not sure if I can make her happy... I'll explain that I met with Nakanishi → Fumi-chan will LINE Sakura [I want to meet and talk] → I'll explain that I'm not cheating → I wonder if it'll go something like this~ (^q^) Shinobu, you be happy

This one is restarted and that's why I can see it happening would be completely pointless though.

The handsome guy is pretty devious because he acted not for Sakura's sake, but for his own. It's infuriating. He took advantage of Sakura's vulnerability, thinking she had her heart broken, and made her his own, and he also had sex with Shinobu, implicitly saying there's no room for him anymore. I bet he's exaggerated a lot of what he told Sakura about his interactions with Shinobu, too. Something like, "I'm dating Fumi, please tell her we're breaking up." That would explain why several months have passed since then. I guess we'll have to watch Sakura, who's currently unresponsive, gradually open her heart to the handsome guy... It's so hard to watch.

This one I understand and hope happens

I see comments saying it's all Fumi's fault for kissing him, but rather, Sakura and Nakanishi completely ignored what others had to say and unilaterally made Shinobu the bad guy, exposing their selfish and despicable natures through their blame-shifting thinking. I think it's amazing that Shinobu doesn't blame Sakura, Nakanishi, or Fumi, and wishes everyone success. He's always put himself on the line, even when he was stabbed by a stalker, protected Nagi when she was beaten up by her ex-manager, and stayed by her side when she was all alone. Now, I hope he can pursue his dream of becoming a film director and find happiness. I'm rooting for Shinobu.

I get this one to chapter 130 comment

Sakura's pretty bad, but I really can't stand Nakanishi. He's portrayed as a good-looking guy with a nice personality, but: - He takes a heartbroken Sakura to his room - He takes the opportunity to buy condoms - (Just a little at first,) He has non-consensual sex with a reluctant Sakura (though it ends up being consensual...) - He proudly declares victory at a fancy cafe that he "had sex" (probably without Sakura's permission) So, his actions towards Sakura can hardly be called kind. Moreover, the reason Sakura mistakenly thought he was cheating is because he was the one who said she was cheating without verifying anything in the first place.

I mean overall they just wish for Shinobu's happiness which is nice. 132 will really show us where Shinobu's mental is headed, for now we know he's resolved to get off his feet and give this movie his all, but now that he's received a sudden confession does he just roll with it and accept Fumi to try and move on from Sakura? You already know my prediction. If deep down he thinks he can't move on from Sakura truly then he'll probably reject Fumi because that would be consistent with how he's always been, if he can muster the resolve to try to move on though it wouldn't be too shocking to me and would lock the fate of this manga towards a pretty tame and lame ending where nothing will change rather than setting up a potential confrontation arc that could be way more exciting.

At this point no matter what happens I expect a bad ending.

nah, fumi ending is not lame ending. Giving slutkura to shinobu is a lame, lazy and trash ending ngl. Redeem her like everyone said but dont give shinobu to her. She simply doesnt deserve him.

To me theres two aspects to it, it's tame because its what the majority of the fans want now and has a fair logic to it, but it is lame because that means that nothing will change since the "crisis". Sakura became a cheater through a misunderstanding and never finds out, while Shinobu goes on towards his own future as a director with Fumi while carrying the burden of knowing everything, and it just doesn't sit right with me if I look at it from a writers perspective, so surely Katsura Airi has something in the works here, because bad writer or not Airi has made a more than fair success as a creator and this is not one of her hentai works.

If he rejects fumi we are going the he lose all girls route.
Another possibility but not too likely, it just means that everything will come down to a confrontation arc which will likely utilize the movie production process as the primary setting in my opinion, and hopefully the relevant parties will be there.

You are thinking like that because you simply want the manga to continue. If it turns out the way that one guy on this forum said—and they really wrap things up by Chapter 137—I’ll be more than happy if that happens. There’s nothing left to write about. She cheated on him. Let her find out through a third party and fall apart; it’s already clear she’s a sex addict, and that’s exactly what Shinobu can’t give her, no matter how you spin it( also he already thought of fumi while sleeping with slutkura, there is nothing to save from both perspectives. Both are toxic for each other. Move on thats it). Going at it 3–5 times a night until she passes out... An ending with "Slutkura" would be even shittier than the Fumi route. But luckily everyone has a different opinion on that. And i really really hope that with chapter 132 the slut route is closed and done.

Well if the author dose intended to get them back together then yes there is a story there that would restore some of the core premise of the story. Of course you already know what my preference is but we can't dismiss Sakura right now because the author hasn't closed the door yet on them when that happens the story is most certainly at the end until then we wait and see.
