My guess is that Hirotos father was a marriage scammer with slow death and his sisters mother originally had undo to counter any unknown illnesses. His father then created a plot where someone had to die, but it somehow got out of control killing Hiroto creating a local calamity to bring his body and soul back. All this happening while his sister was protected by reflect from all harm (and mentioned earlier killing his father), and in reverse got the leftover abilities/souls acting like a living vessel.

Nah most likely she is misunderstanding something because hiroto is clearly himself she probably just went through something traumatic

I also think it's something like that. But combined with Hiroto's ability and the sister ended with 3 souls on her explaining her powers but those souls are messing with her head. Maybe the event made Hiroto unknowingly use his powers to put the souls of his father and step mother on the step sister and she ended up killing Hiroto by mistake but he managed to go back to his body? Or maybe it was like you said but Hiroto managed to put those souls on her somehow. Does she even know about Hiroto's ability?

Okay, this plot twist completely changed the way we look at everything.

I have 2–3 theories about the MC's death:

1. He actually died. Like his sister said, this isn't the MC's original body. She probably wants to erase the current soul and bring back the original one. At least, that's how I see it.

2. Instant Death killed the MC's body, but when his sister tried to "undo" it, his soul possessed his own body before the process was complete. Because of that, he became something else. His memories got mixed up, creating a completely new "MC."

3. His soul split apart after he died. While trying to return to his body, it accidentally merged with other souls. As a result, a new identity was created. He still has some of the original MC's memories, while the rest may have come from the other souls he fused with.

4. Somehow, i don't know, she just misremembered everything? MC never died, he never changed. But the one that changed and manipulated was the Sister.

So sis was a bro-con, something happened (maybe the sister's fault?) and brother died, but he didn't FULLY die and inhabited his own body - at which point his "power" manifested, sister senses that something is wrong with him and wants to kill him to preserve her memory of her perfect brother, and our MC doesn't know any of this due to post-death amnesia or something?

OR he did actually die and an amnesiac spirit possessed his body?

My best guess would be that when he first got his powers he accidentally left his own body as a spirit, and was pronounced dead. Then he got back into his body and his sister thinks it's not him?
