I won't say it "changed" my life, but it did have a strong impact on me.
Reading Aku no Hana, aka The Flowers of Evil, from start to end in one sitting. It was truly an extraordinary manga.
It felt like an emotional rollercoaster reading it.
An experience that I wish I could relive. Lose all my memory and read the manga all over again in one sitting.

As for how it impacted me, I have started to crave more and more psychological drama after reading that and ended up adding some of the most messed-up manga to my library :shamihuh:
It's one of my favorite manga too; I just wanted to promote it :02:

Note: The manga I mentioned is a psychological drama, so read it only if you can tolerate this genre. Written by the same mangaka who wrote Blood on the Tracks and Okaeri Alice, some of his recent titles.
Great author! Inside Mari is good, too! They’re all great manga! 🤩

That one of his first work, I read!
I remember it quite well. I was still new to manga at the time, but I read enough titles to know how to read, wanted to branch out into different genre. Checked out the "Adult" category for mature ones (that's what the app I was using at the time called it). I believe Inside Mari was the first on the list. And the cover was pretty normal, so I gave it a go.

Read the tags, and thought, "Oh, it's like Your Name movie, with the body swap".
That pure thought I had was completely shattered, as I read a few chapters of it :fml:

It went into subject matter like women's struggle with periods in such a detail that I could never forget

Overall, great manga to read if you are mentally prepared for it :dogkek:

You can do anything if you're illiterate enough! I got through Goodnight Punpun without feeling like shit, I can get through this one too!
No joke, I actually saw Punpun as a bird till the end of the story. And completely forgot it's supposed to be an actual human behind that avatar :wtf:
My brain went, "Oh, it's just a bird, not like all of this actually happened to a human, right? :smugchisato:"
I mean, come on, you can't be that short here
