I agree that, in the end, if they're still doing good deeds, that's better than doing nothing or doing bad deeds

However, if you're only helping others because you're looking for some kind of reward or compensation, and not because you enjoy it, I have the impression that you could completely change your morals if someone offered you a better reward

yes, and i'm sure many people in that category would readily take on an immoral goal when promised a greater monetary reward. there is really no point to be made here though, as individuals altruistic enough to 'do the right thing' and individuals cynical enough to 'act based on expected rewards' will accordingly act the same given that their environments are identical. all that is to be said, then, is that a state should legally promote empowering actions and discourage sabotagial actions

Some people have a higher sense of morality and so expect the same from others. Then when the other person doesn't match their expectation they'll be disappointed. Is that wrong?

Whatever the case, don't do acts of kindness if they come with a strain to you.
