Mark tries to explain the situation and clear up the misunderstanding. Then he takes Folsina to the forest.
★ There, Mark hunts a Mana Beast. The materials he gets from the monster are used to make Extra Potion.
The prisoners in the basement of his alchemy room are Beastfolk, young women who lost body parts because of severe injuries. They are slaves who were legally purchased.
Using the Extra Potion he created, Mark tries to restore the body parts they lost.
★ Actually, all of this was part of Mark’s plan before he regained the memories of his previous life.
At first, he planned to carry out forbidden human experiments to create artificial humans. He got the information about that experiment from one of his subordinates, Alamund.
But Mark also knows that in the future, Alamund will betray him. After Mark’s death in the original story, all of those research results will fall into the hands of another organization.
★ After regaining his previous-life memories, Mark starts thinking about changing that plan.
He does not want to be branded as a villain for doing human experiments.
Since Folsina already knows about the existence of those slaves, Mark finally decides to change the experiment into new potion research that can heal their bodies.
