She calls him a clown and treats him like some agent of chaos that threatens the order of things of her city, but Mikigami clearly holds a special place within her court, given his unmitigated success in the Coliseum and the knock-on benefits it has reaped for her (whether intentional on his part or otherwise). The Court Fool historically got away with shit that no other person would dare attempt in front of the monarch or head noble, and Mikigami arguably enjoys a similar status, for all Desmos' derision toward him.

True, but I think that is what this story will need if it ever becomes too dull with the slice of life "slave dispatch". Which might lead to an interesting third-act breakdown and "power boost". Seeing Mikagami have to fight one of his wives after they have been "broken" by the slave serum would be very gripping drama.

But, at the same time, we might move away from the arena fights because, in the setting, challengers might not come forward given that Mikagami has won all of his fights up to this point. No real need to bet on a sure-fire win.

Yeah you'd think this chapter was legitimately the final chapter of the manga lol. Especially based on how they have the rat guy and her giving narration on how he's come in like a typhoon and shaken things up, and the "road to happiness" caption on the last page. It really could just end here. "Create a Slave Harem" is literally in the title of the series, and this chapter shows has him marrying his at a wedding.

But we know it can't be the end since the new volume just started a chapter ago, and the same "Continued on [date]" text that's present every chapter is here too, rather than an "END" or mention of an epilogue.
