In every isekai i've come across, the MC always is extremely nervous about the love interest's should-be lover in the original plot. Im hoping in this one, they're smart enough to realize things have changed so much that it hardly should matter
the way it was explained was the past would always become the present (unless something is done that makes the current present impossible, like a charachter death), but the future could be changed, so this whole arc happened to change the way the future happens.
