I' ve been curious for a while what Kotonoba actually means. I've used all amateurish search skills at my disposal and only found that コトノバ can be transcribed as Kotonoba. Did I miss something obvious or is just difficult to interpret ?

Weird indeed, not just the plot but the drawings too. f.e. background is often empty which seems to increase the weirdness somehow. Reading it in one go is indeed recommended.
